For example, Hindus would never like to go into temples with shoes on. Same way, Muslims would hate you if you entered their mosque while wearing shoes. The same is the case with Sikhism and of course with Christians as well. So, to avoid any unpleasant reaction, never wear shoes in religious places.

Don’t Wear Revealing Clothes

Though India’s many cities are very modern like Goa, Mumbai, Delhi, and many more. You can wear anything you like while you are in the major cities. But when you are in rural areas, small cities, or villages, don’t consider wearing revealing clothes.

Especially for women, if you wear short skirts, half blouses, or anything revealing your cleavage, you would have so many eyes staring at you. So, don’t wear clothes that reveal most of your skin and it is good if you wear a headscarf as a woman, it will earn respect from local people.

Even in some places, you should avoid holding the hand of your partner with love. If you do so, you will not only get the attention of angry people but you can also land in a local jail.

Don’t Order Beef

Most Indians are vegetarian because they belong to the Hindu religion and they don’t like to have meat or fish. But there are some Hindus who don’t mind having meat or fish. But never consider ordering beef at any place.
