According to the information provided by What’s on Netflix, the prequel series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, which is a part of the Bridgerton franchise, is only intended to run for one season.
The character of Queen Charlotte, a well-known figure from Bridgerton, will be investigated in depth throughout the prequel series, as will the story of how she evolved into the legendary figure she is today.
“Many fans had never known the story of Queen Charlotte before Bridgerton exposed her to the world,” said Bela Bajaria, head of worldwide TV for Netflix. “I’m happy that this new series will further enrich her story and the realm of Bridgerton,” she said.
According to the site, Netflix is targeting a release date of May 4, 2023 for the film Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story; however, the date has not been confirmed at this time.
Betsy Beers and Tom Verica are serving their roles as producers, while Shonda Rhimes is the show’s primary writer. Betsy Rhimes is also the creator of the show.
As a result of an enlarged arrangement with Netflix, additional projects are currently in production. These include the original show, which has been given a renewal for a fourth season, as well as the impending spinoff series.
Previous hints have hinted that these initiatives will involve virtual reality experiences, a video game, and other in-person events.
