When Maddie (Lawrence) is on the verge of losing the home she grew up in, she comes across an intriguing job listing. It states that wealthy helicopter parents are looking for someone to “date” their shy 19-year-old son, Percy before he goes away to college. Maddie decides to apply for the position. Maddie is taken aback when she learns that Percy, despite his awkwardness, is not a sure thing.
