Kevin’s father, Edward Turen, revealed the news of his sudden death and told Deadline on November 12 how much Kevin’s death meant to him.
“Kevin was so incredibly special,” his father shared. “This world is going to be less without him.”
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Kevin Turen’s legacy is remembered for the emphasis he placed on his family and friends. Jay Penske, a close friend, reflected on Turen’s priorities and values, stating, “Despite his many achievements in Hollywood, Kevin’s greatest passion was his family and friends. He was so proud of his children.
It was important to him and his wife Evelina that their children learn good values and make a difference in the world.
“Our hearts break for them, and we all feel such a profound sense of loss,” Penske said, expressing the shared grief of those who knew Turen. Kevin will be missed a lot, and this town lost one of its brightest youngsters today.
Following the news of his passing, friends and colleagues, including British independent film producer Cassian Elwes, took to social media to pay tribute to the late producer. Elwes wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on November 13, “A good friend and true indie filmmaker died tonight too young. I’m so sad. Hold your loved ones close. Life is precious and fleeting.”
